North from Beinn Lair

The Great Wilderness, Scotland

Thanks to Google Earth I can, to a certain degree plan and anticipate many of my images before walking up a mountain for the first time, but there are many mountain that still surprise me, and Beinn Lair was one such peak. Although I knew I would be able to see An Teallach from the top, I wasn't able to imagine just how fabulous it would look above the overlapping ridges. This image is from my book "The Great Wilderness" and can be found on page 85
