Lochan Giubhais

The Great Wilderness, Scotland

One of the thrilling aspects of hiking to remote areas of Scotland with my camera is that I have the chance to come across scenes that I have never seen before. The profile of this lochan looked promising on the map, so I made a plan to go there in the autumn. The weather was far from ideal, and yet it felt deeply Scottish and leant a real authenticity to the scene. This image is from my book "The Great Wilderness" and can be found on page 36-37
