The Beginning

Tavy Cleave, Dartmoor

This outstanding morning at Tavy Cleave followed 15 days of rain in August of 2008. I decided to camp above Tavy Cleave and nature really put on a show which was really invigorating after so many days spent indoors. Conditions like this dont occur often on the moor, so when I am there to capture them I can get quite excited! Of course as people who have tried will know, these kind of conditions are at best 50-50, many times I have camped at tavy cleave and been in cloud and drizzle the whole time despite a promising forecast.
