Before Distaster

Torridon, NW Highlands, Scotland

My first visit to the Coulin Hills was a camp on Sgorr Ruadh. The forecast looked good, light summit winds and a chance of a sunset. At least initially everything went to plan, but as the day came to a close the clouds descended and the wind accelerated. This was taken shortly before my view disappeared and I retreated to the tent. Unfortunately my evening wasnt over. Just as darkness set in violent gusts started to distort and eventually collapse my tent. I made it off the hill safely and was back at the car a little before midnight.
