Liquid Gold

An almost unbearably hot May in the Highlands curtailed my groups ability to hike up mountains so we set our sights on a slightly easier goal. This relatively remote lochan proved well worth the visit when sunlight refracted through the water onto the sand below. It helped that we were wading out barefoot on a hot day in warm water. It felt worryingly like a tropical island!
