Rainbow and Lenticulars

Highlands of Iceland

Rainbows and lenticular clouds don't often appear in my images because I rarely have the opportunity to shoot them. Apparently in Iceland both are rife. This rainbow persisted for a couple of hours and we watched it lazily move across the landscape below us. For a breif period of time there was a break in the lower cloud cover sufficient to reveal the lenticular clouds above. The only slight disappointment was that the peak in the distance, Storkonufell, was mostly in shadow at the time. Still, I'll take it...
