Ketil at Sunset

Klosterdalen, Tasermiut Fjord, Greenland

This image shows a clear view of the vast west face of Ketil. At 1400m it is the biggest near vertical wall in the worth and a popular challenge for expert climbers. Below is the valley of Klosterdalen. Although it looks somwhat idyllic from this high vantage point, it is in fact a mix of boot sucking bog and thick birch woodland, as we were to discover the following day!
