Photo of foxgloves on Dartmoor

Devon Wildflowers

nr Combe Tor, Dartmoor

Foxgloves are often short lived on Dartmoor, even if the wind doesnt destroy them they are only at their peak for 2 weeks at most. Having found this composition earlier this was one of three shots I tried of a similar idea, to compliment the colour of the foxgloves with the colour in the sky. Technically this shot was quite difficult to achieve, failing light and the slightest breeze made it hit a miss to get a blur free shot but after shooting around 10 frames I was successful. This was by far the most abundant year for foxgloves that I can remember
