About Alex Nail

I'm a full-time landscape photographer based in Bristol with a passion for mountains and wilderness areas. I increasingly head to remote or hard to reach locations in search of new images. My photography is largely illustrative, showing magical lighting conditions and spectacular scenery.

I write for UK outdoor and photography magazines both in print and online. My images have been published in a variety of different media and I have run a number of successful exhibitions. I deliver talks to camera clubs and trade shows, recently speaking at the Natural History Museum and The Outdoors Show in London. I lead regular workshops in the UK mountains and abroad. These tours are highly reflective of my own approach to photography and generally have an adventurous slant.

As well as still photography I also shoot time-lapse films with my business partner Guy Richardson. We have been fortunate to work with some of the UK's biggest organisations including Visit Britain and the Woodland Trust.
