Near Horseid Beach, Lofoten, Norway
The day was forecast to be clear from 10am but as the day proceeded it seemed likely that we would be stuck in cloud. As sunset approached I was almost certain I wouldn’t miss anything but we still set up our tent on a ridge below Krakhammertinden, above Horseid Beach, in the hope that something would happen in the morning. About an hour before sunset the horizon became clear and the sun burst through above a jagged mountain ridge. I'd be lying if I said this image was planned but then in 2 weeks spent outdoors you do expect to stumble upon a few unexpected moments of light!
