Highlands of Iceland
This was the nicest afternoon we had on our Laugavegur trek, lying in the sunshine on top of a mossy peak in the middle of nowhere. I think this image begins to illustrate how the icecap (to the right) forms its own weather. The wind was blowing over the icecap and clouds constantly formed downwind. We were certainly glad for the sunshine, something there was a bit of a shortage of this year!
