Sunset Photography Workshops

This is a great way to get excited about your photography and brush up on your technique, composition and lighting knowledge. Sunset workshops can be booked on Friday and Saturday evenings starting 4 hours before sunset. If you’re a complete beginner then this is enough time to teach you basic camera skills and give you insight into lighting and composition. If you are more experienced then we can jump straight into more advanced topics. Light permitting you can be sure to come away with shots that you are more than happy with.

Although we can cover a wide range of topics in the workshop we may only be able to visit one or two locations. A longer 1 or 2 day workshop is best if you want to both learn the techniques of landscape photography and then practice them more thoroughly.

Practical Matters

You will need:

A Digital SLR camera
A wide-angle lens
A tripod
A telephoto lens (optional)
A polariser (recommended)
Footwear for walking on uneven and potentially wet ground
A raincoat
Food!

Workshops will be run in a range of conditions from heavily overcast with the odd shower to full sunshine. Obviously the goal is to photograph sunset but I can adjust the location to suit the conditions. If the weather is bad (i.e. persistent rain or drizzle) then I am happy to reschedule for another date.

Pricing

Sunset workshops are priced at £70 to include 4-5 hours of tuition

Want to bring a friend/partner?

Non-photographic guests are free. If you want to club together with another photographer then the cost per person is reduced. At this time I do not offer workshops for more than 2 because I prefer to deliver more personalised tuition.

Please contact me to discuss availability before paying for a workshop. Payment is via PayPal which also accepts credit and debit cards. Payment is non-refundable unless we have agreed otherwise. I will of course reschedule if necessary.
