The forest for the trees
I spent an evening in late August 2008 camping up above Burrator Reservoir near Sharpitor. I had planned a shot for the trip which I did not have the opportunity to take, but the shot that did present itself was certainly better! As the sun rose the mist hanging amongst the tree in this coniferous plantation lit up producing beautiful sunrays. No doubt if I had attempted this shot intentionally I would not have found conditions like this. Burrator is an area I plan to explore further in the future.
