Lofoten is a mountainous archipelago of islands in Nordland, northern Norway. Lofoten is famed for its dramatic peaks bursting from the water below. Although it is a moderately popular location with hikers the tourism here is fairly low key. In fact on Moskenesoya, the outermost of the Lofoten Islands, there is very little to do except enjoy the outdoors, not that I am complaining.
This view from Hermannsdalstinden is really quite challenging to get to, but once on the summit you ahve a complete 380 degree view. To the middle left of this image you can see some of the other Lofoten Islands stretching into the distance. Many of the routes that Emma and I did on our trip can be seen in this image. Perhaps I should print it!
