Cuckoo Rock

below Combeshead Tor, Dartmoor

The famous Cuckoo Rock lies to the east of Burrator below Combeshead Tor. I'm not quite sure where the name Cuckoo Rock came from, certainly this 10ft chunk of granite looks nothing like a Cuckoo; but it was a great location to visit. I actually ended up camping overnight nearby in calm cold conditions.
