Devon Gold

Although the autumn colours in 2008 were fabulous along the River Walkham it was a challenge to find really strong compositions. I was very happy when I came across this scene as it allowed me to introduce a strong foreground. It also displayed a large range of vivid colour, something I often aim to capture in my images. In this case I found the colour of the autum leaves so compelling that it was the main driver of my composition.
